The country you're about to explore was meant to cover all the lands once inhabited by Lithuanian people. De jure these borders were internationally recognised (see Times Atlas 1922, for example). In reality this remained a dream...

The purpose of the map is to honour the efforts of our great-grandparents to build a home for the reborn Lithuanian nation. Such a home which would serve as a shelter for the brotherly Jews, Poles, Germans, Belarusians and other peoples which had co-existed peacefully in the days of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
